LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The defense team for a Louisville woman accused of driving drunk and hitting and killing an 11-year-old boy is expected to start calling its witnesses Friday.

Angela Baumia's trial has been full of painful testimony and graphic details. Thursday was no different as we learned new details about what happened the night Dylan Geitgey lost his life.

Jurors heard a frantic 911 call made last June after Judy Crump and her husband heard a loud crash in their Fincastle neighborhood. They looked outside and saw their truck, car, and garage smashed into by a silver car. Then they saw a young boy who'd also been hit.

Baumia is on trial charged with murder. Emergency room doctor and expert witnesses for the state, Dr. Bill Smock, testified Baumia had at least 7.6 beers before getting behind the wheel.

Baumia's lawyers don't deny she was drinking, but say Dylan and his friends were riding in the street, and she swerved to avoid hitting other kids.

The judge expects the trial to wrap up Monday.
