The Hamilton County Coroner says that the man shot by Cincinnati Police early Monday morning was intoxicated at the time of the shooting.
40-year-old David Paul Hebert, a.k.a. Bones, was reportedly drunk, with a blood alcohol level of .33, and had marijuana in his system the night that Cincinnati Police shot him.
Herbert was a suspect in a cutting in Northside earlier Monday. When police confronted Herbert, he reportedly pulled out a 13" switchblade out of his pocket and swiped it toward one of the officers and took a step.
The Cincinnati Police Officer then fired two rounds, killing Herbert.
The officers involved in the shooting are on paid administrative lead.
