LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A rally for unions and workers rights held downtown Sunday ended with several attendees being detained by police. A group gathered at the financial square at Fourth and Jefferson and marched toward Waterfront park for a May Day Rally.
A police spokeswoman tells WAVE 3 news that two people received citations, one for defacing a World War II memorial with sidewalk chalk, the other for possessing graffiti materials. Flyers passed out at the rally encourage people to call in to work Monday, to show support for workers rights.
