LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Local reaction about Osama bin Laden's death has been heated. Here is what a few Louisvillians had to say.

"I'm glad it's done," said Chris Hemming. "You wonder why it took ten years. I don't think it has quite the impact as September 11 did, but I think a lot of people will remember this day."

"I'd say it's a relief," said James Kidwell.

"It hit close to home," said Frantz Pierre about the news of bin Laden's death. "I would have rather him have been brought to trial, to have him on TV to see him account for everything he did."

Mercer Transportation, at 12th and Main Streets, remembered the 422 firefighters, police, and EMS workers who gave their lives on 9/11 by displaying a piece of the Twin Towers, while it tours around the country.
