LOUISVILLE, KY - (WAVE) The Louisville man that was suspected in eight cold case murders was back in federal court. 40-year-old Ricky Kelly was re-indicted on a single count of murder and racketeering. He pled not guilty.
Federal judge Dave Whalin ordered Kelly remain behind bars without bond.
He faces a possible death sentence if convicted of participating in a murder for hire in 2005.
The eight murder cases in state court against him were dropped when federal investigators took the case.
