Family remembers 14-year-old Terrence Zwicker

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Family and friends gathered at Evergreen Funeral Home, Sunday, to say their final goodbyes to 14-year-old Terrence Zwicker.

Zwicker's body was found by Liberty High School students, Wednesday, in a creek behind the school. Zwicker was a Freshman at Seneca High School.

"I don't know who would do this to just a 14-year-old boy. Everybody loved him," his cousin, 10-year-old Ethan Spurgeon said.

"He was a very good boy. I don't...(sigh)'s just horrible," Trey's Uncle, Eric Spurgeon said outside the funeral home.

"He loved to skateboard and I think we took him a couple of times to Thunder Over Louisville with us. I mean...He was just a joy," his Aunt, Tara Zwicker said. Tara Zwicker smiled because she shared moments she had with the 14-year-old teenager. She also said her family is united right now. She thanked everyone in the community that supported their family.

Police officers are searching for the person responsible.

A chapel-side service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. He will be buried at Evergreen.
