LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Power crews in Kentucky and Indiana have been working nonstop to restore service to thousands of customers after severe storms moved through the area Monday night.

As of 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, LG&E was reporting less than 3,500 outages with the bulk of those in Jefferson and Oldham counties.

And across the river in Indiana, Duke Energy's website indicated about 1,900 customers were without power in Clark and Floyd counties. Duke officials hope to have power restored to all customers by 11 p.m. Wednesday.
