ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (AP) - The Hardin County coroner says he is trying to confirm that the decomposed body of a man found in a home is the resident who lived there.
Coroner William Lee said the body was found last week when police visited the home where grass was overgrown and utilities had been turned off. Lee says the man died in November of a heart attack.
He told The News-Enterprise that all signs point to it being 53-year-old Stephen Moore, but identifying him through dental records hasn't worked and Moore had disassociated himself with family and neighbors.
Lee said officials "99 percent sure of who it is, circumstantially, but we want to be 100 percent sure scientifically."
