LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The fight by a former Louisville Metro Police detective to get her job back is continuing. On Wednesday, May 24, the Police Merit Board hearing continued for Crystal Marlowe with LMPD Chief Robert White taking the stand.
White testified that Marlowe falsely charged at least four people with crimes they didn't commit. While also said Marlowe did so by violating police procedure in her use of photo packs that help witnesses identify suspects.
"When you're charging somebody, especially with a felony, you have a responsibility of putting that person on the scene of the offense and you have to investigate it to the fullest," said White.
Marlowe also testified and said she was never taught proper procedure in using a photo pack.
The hearing will resume May 25.
