Former school employee enters plea to sex charges

RICHMOND, KY (AP) - A former secretary at a central Kentucky high school has pleaded guilty to sex crimes involving a student.

Lynda Chase, who is 37 and uses a wheelchair, entered the plea Thursday to third-degree rape and four counts of third-degree sodomy, according to WLEX-TV in Lexington.

The charges stem from her relationship with a 15-year-old boy at Madison Central High School in Richmond.

Under a plea deal, she will be required to undergo treatment and must register as a sex offender. The prosecutor is recommending a three-year sentence.

Formal sentencing was set for July 7.
