MADISON, IN (WAVE) – One of the two people charged in the case of a woman and her boyfriend accused of child abuse has entered a guilty plea.
Prosecutors in Jefferson County, Indiana say 21-year old Jessica Carder and Andrew Richards used pliers to pull out the teeth and toe nails of Carder's three year old boy.
On May 27, prosecutors say Carder entered a guilty plea on a neglect of a dependent charge. She will be sentenced on June 24.
Richards is set for trial in September.
