MADISON, IN (WAVE) – Workers at the Madison Correctional Facility in Madison, IN are opening their hearts and wallets to tornado victims in Alabama. The state was ravaged by a devastating storm in April.
The workers collected $1,750 to donate to the displaced families of workers at the Alabama Department of Correction.
238 people were killed in Alabama alone during the April 27 tornado outbreak. State leaders say the damage there may approach the $2 billion mark.
