INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A police officer was sideswiped on his motorcycle as he escorted drivers and celebrities to the 500 Festival Parade in downtown Indianapolis.
WTHR TV reports police say Officer Rob Turner had only minor injuries to his leg Saturday. Police say Turner was hit by a car traveling the same direction on West 18th Street. The car's driver told police he missed a turn and didn't see the motorcycle when he tried to get over, striking the officer.
