FLORENCE, Ky. (AP) - Police in northern Kentucky are investigating as a double homicide the deaths of two people found inside their home Sunday after they weren't seen for several days.
Boone County Sheriff's spokesman Tom Scheben said the deaths of William and Peggy Stephenson, both 74, were classified as a homicide on Monday morning. Investigators were called to the Stephenson home in Florence around 1 p.m. EDT Sunday after the couple did not show up for church.
The pair was last heard from on Friday. Scheben did not release a cause of death or possible motive. Police said The Summits, the condominium community where the Stephensons lived, as quiet with few troubles.
