Woman arrested for assaulting Kentucky State Trooper

CARTER COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - A Carter County, Kentucky woman is facing charges after Kentucky State Police say she got into a fight with a Trooper.

Around 7:00pm on Friday, May 27th, officers from the Kentucky State Police and the Olive Hill Police Department responded to a call involving a disorderly woman at church parking lot on State Route 2078 in Olive Hill.

Troopers say when they arrived, they say Billie Binion, 26, became physically aggressive and refused all commands to put down the small child she was holding.

Investigators say Binion began to assault both officers by kicking at them, forcing the officers to use their tasers.

Binion was arrested at the scene and charged with Assault 3rd (Police Officer), Disorderly Conduct 1st Degree, and Resisting Arrest.

She was lodged in the Carter County Detention Center.
