Parkway named after soldier who was killed

BELLEVUE, KY (AP) - A parkway in northern Kentucky is being named after a soldier who died in Afghanistan last year.

Memorial Parkway in Bellevue will be dedicated Tuesday in honor of Specialist Russell Madden. The roadway is Ky. 1120 within the city limits of Bellevue.

The 29-year-old Madden died June 23 when his convoy was hit by a missile in Konar, Afghanistan. He was a 2000 graduate of Bellevue High School.

Madden's family and state Sen. Katie Stine, R-24, were expected to attend, according to The Kentucky Enquirer.
