One injured in early-morning Lexington accident

LEXINGTON, KY (AP) - Lexington police were called this morning at about 5 a.m. to a single vehicle collision on Eastin Road. Police and fire units responded to the scene and found a 2001, green, Ford Ranger pickup truck, left the roadway and struck a utility pole near 105 Eastin Drive. Due to the nature of the driver's injuries, investigators with the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) were called. CRU investigators examined the scene and were unable to determine what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. The driver is currently being treated at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for life-threatening injuries.
