LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville couple is facing charges of leaving their children in a hot car.
On Saturday, June 4, employees at the Kroger on North 35th Street alerted an officer to the children. The officer found two boys, ages 9 and 12, in the backseat of a car that was not running.
Police arrested 28-year-old Derek Noel and 29-year-old Misty Lawson. The pair told police they went inside the store to get their pictures taken and told the kids not to get out of the car.
Noel and Lawson are charged with wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor.
