Kentuckians receive over $5.4M in FEMA aid

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - It has been three weeks since some Kentucky residents became eligible for individual assistance from FEMA.

So far, FEMA and the Commonwealth of Kentucky have approved more than $5.4 million in assistance to Kentucky residents affected by the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding from April 22 through May 20.

Individual assistance is available in 17 Kentucky counties including Hardin and Jefferson County.
