LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Interstate 64 traffic to southern Indiana is flowing smoothly once again after an earlier accident that brought things to a standstill.
A crash just before 1 p.m. Wednesday between a car and a semi hauling a backhoe in the westbound lanes near the Sherman Minton Bridge caused a diesel fuel leak.
It took crews nearly 5 hours to contain the spill and clean it up. All lanes of westbound I-64 were reopened by 5:45 p.m.
