BLOOMINGTON, IN (AP) - Police say an America's Most Wanted broadcast Saturday about a missing Indiana University student brought in at least 30 to 40 tips, but none have led to major breakthroughs in the case so far.
Twenty-year-old Lauren Spierer was last seen walking home alone from a friend's apartment early June 3, a few hours after the Greenburgh, N.Y., resident left a popular Bloomington bar.
Her case was featured on America's Most Wanted on Saturday. Bloomington police say the show generated 30 to 40 tips between the show's airing at 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.
Police Capt. Joe Qualters hopes more calls come in Sunday, possibly one that could help police find Spierer.
Spierer's father says twice-a-day searches will continue all week. There are several rewards being offered in the case.
