LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - About 150 people came out for a Saturday morning workout that meant more than just burning calories.
Louisville Athletic Club hosted Cardio for Kids with Cancer. The event was planned by Meghan Steinburg, who started Meghan's Mountain Foundation. Steinburg is battling cancer herself.
"Cancer is the number one killer of kids and there's a very high rate in the state of Kentucky," Steinburg said. "If we can just come together as a community and make a difference."
The event raised $4,000 for charities that benefit kids with cancer.
