ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say a man who had been reported missing turned up after he heard his name on a newscast and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Trooper Elliott Gollihue says 37-year-old Robert Branham showed up at Danco Fuels in Johnson County at about 1:24 p.m. EDT Sunday, more than 24 hours after he left for work in Wayne County, W.Va.
Gollihue says Branham's wife, Laura Branham, received a text message from her husband's cell phone with the message "Your man has gotten exactly what he deserves, he is at the mouth of 645, sorry for your loss" and called police.
Gollihue says Branham contacted troopers after hearing his name on a newscast. Troopers found an outstanding warrant from Boyd County.
Branham was in Big Sandy Regional Jail.
