LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Metro Animal Services had a flooding scare during the storms. Heavy rainfall filled a drainage area with water so rapidly that workers sent out a call for help that was quickly answered by the community.
We had hundreds of volunteers," said MAS Director Susan Neumayer. "I would estimate about 200 volunteers and staff, and people in the community that came out to help us be ready if we needed to move the animals to higher ground."
Luckily, the receded down before any animals had to move.
