Tornado touchdown in Dubois County

DUBOIS COUNTY, IN (WAVE) - The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in southwestern Dubois County early Sunday morning.

The NWS says the tornado touched down 0.4 mile north of Duff.  The tornado traveled for 2.2 miles, passing through Duff, and lifted 1.9 miles southeast of Duff.

The tornado reached EF-1 strength with 95 mph winds, and was 130 yards wide.  Several homes suffered minor damage and numerous trees, both softwood and hardwood, were snapped or uprooted.
