LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Funeral services have been set for a 6-year-old boy who died from his injuries after being found under water at a pool at Woodhaven Country Club.
Keegan Adkins died Saturday after being taken off life support, a day after he was found under water at the Woodhaven Country Club at 7200 Woodhaven Road. Deputy Coroner Jack Arnold says the boy died from a severe brain injury resulting from being submerged under water Friday.
His mother, Shannon, says she was watching him but lost sight of him for a moment as she was switching seats.
Visitation for Keegan will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
Funeral services will be held following visitation Wednesday at 9th & O Baptist Church at 4401 Breckenridge Lane.
Keegan's father, Scott, is a firefighter for the Okolona Fire Department and a volunteer firefighter for the Camp Taylor Fire Department. His mother, Shannon, is the Director of Development for Supporting Heroes, an organization dedicated to honoring the memory of public servants who gave their lives in the line of duty.

A Facebook page has also been created - Remembering Keegan Adkins - and a memorial fund has been set up. Starting Tuesday, donations to the "Keegan Adkins Memorial Fund" can be made at any PNC bank location.
