La GRANGE, KY (WAVE) - An Oldham County man is facing criminal charges after the sheriff's department says he opened more than a dozen fire hydrants to full blast.
The running fire hydrants left as many as 150 homes without water and ran reserve tanks dangerously low for fire departments.
18-year-old Joshua Smith was arrested by Oldham County deputies who say his car matched the description of one given by witnesses. They also say Smith admitted to opening the hydrants.
In addition, deputies said they also found a shotgun hidden in Smith's car.
Two other people were in the car with Smith, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old female. So far neither has been charged.
