Toy gun leads to brief standoff at hospital

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – WAVE 3 News was there during a standoff at Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange Wednesday afternoon.

Around 5 p.m., police and sheriffs deputies were called there on a report of a man with a gun.

The hospital was put on lockdown. Officers arrested that man within 15 minutes.

Police tell us the man had a toy gun and told them he was just messing around with a small child in the car.
