LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville Metro EMS worker was injured in a crash shortly before noon Thursday.
The crash happened around 11:45 a.m. at I-265 west at the I-65 north interchange.
According to LMPD spokeswoman Officer Carey Klain, the single car accident involved a silver SUV that is a first response car that gets to a scene to assess what EMS needs to do to help a patient.
The SUV did roll over several times. Metro police closed the ramp from I-265 west to I-65 north until about 12:45 p.m. while crews cleared the scene.
According to a statement from the Mayor's Office, the driver, who has not yet been officially identified, was not responding to the scene of an emergency medical call at the time of the accident. He was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
There is no word on the condition of the EMS worker.
