Kaelin's Biscuit Pudding And Bourbon Sauce


6 eggs

2 cups sugar

2 Tbl. Vanilla

2 Tbl. Melted butter

5 cups milk

Combine above ingredients in bowl. 

Soak 12 cooked biscuits in the mixture.

   (let the biscuits cool to room temp before soaking. )

   ( Use good size buttermilk biscuits )

In a separate pan put 1 cup white raisins (or golden ) and 1 cup pecan pieces.  Sprinkle with enough plain flour to coat. Add raisins and pecans to biscuit mixture.  Pour into a greased  9 X 12 pan and bake @ 350 for 40 minutes.  Time might vary due to your oven.

Cooked pudding can be refrigerated for up to 2 days


1 lb. Margarine

4 cups sugar

4 eggs

1 cup water

1 cup bourbon

In a saucepan melt margarine, add sugar and water.  Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs.  Remove margarine mixture from heat and gradually add to eggs, whisking constantly.

Add bourbon.

Ready to serve.
