Man shot to death while moving out of Park Hill

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police say the city's latest homicide victim was killed as he was moving out of the public housing complex in the Park Hill neighborhood.

According to MetroSafe, a call was received around 1:45 p.m. reporting a man down with gunshot wounds in the 1600 block of Moore Court near building 27.

LMPD detectives believe there was an ongoing dispute between the victim, an African immigrant, and the shooter.

Through a translator, the victim's wife told us they have three kids. A neighbor said when the man was shot, he and his family were packing up to leave the public housing complex and the neighborhood.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say they have a person of interest, but ask anyone with information about the shooting to call the LMPD Crime Tip Line at 574-LMPD. All calls to the Crime Tip Line are anonymous.
