Suspicious package at GE turned out not to be a threat

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The bomb squad was called out to GE Appliance Park about 9:41 Wednesday morning after MetroSafe says they received a call of a bomb threat at the plant.

A GE spokesperson says the package was brought outside and put in a blue truck and then police proceeded to blow up the package.

Investigators say is contained some kind of liquid, but say it was not explosive.

GE officials say workers were not evacuated because it was determined early on there was no threat or danger.

GE says they'll be looking into where this package came from.
