1 dead in I-65 crash

GLENDALE, KY (WAVE) - A central Kentucky woman is dead after a crash on Interstate 65 in Hardin County.

According Kentucky State Police, it happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes near the Glendale exit. Troopers say 20-year old April Crain of Upton, KY crashed her Ford Escort into the back of a semi trailer that had slowed down and was merging in a construction zone.

Crain was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
