LONDON, KY (WAVE) - The Laurel County Sheriff says a Corbin area man was printing up his own prescriptions to support his addiction to drugs.
Investigators say 23-year-old Ryan E. Lannen of Corbin is charged with 42 counts of fraudulently obtaining prescriptions and forgery of prescriptions. He was arrested Tuesday in London and is being held in the Laurel County jail.
Deputies say Lannen worked at an area printing company, and was printing up fake prescription pads from southeastern Kentucky doctors, then forging prescription for hydrocodone.
The sheriff's department said Lannen, who isn't a patient of any of the practitioners, had fraudulently obtained as many as 2,500 hydrocodone tablets in the past six months.
