Your response to our "Building Bridges" editorial accentuated our points.
Sharon emailed: "We need to build the East End bridge now. Think of all the traffic that wouldn't even need to go downtown if there were an East End bridge! Currently I-265 in Indiana and the Gene Snyder in Kentucky are 'roads to nowhere'."
David offered this feedback: "Our people need jobs and we have a great location on the Ohio River at the intersection of three major interstates: I-65, I-64 and I-71. We have already attracted several location sensitive employers: Ford, GE, UPS, and could attract more to this area. We are probably within 500 miles of 75% or more of the U.S. population. That can be a powerful selling point for our city. But we are losing the value of our location by allowing our infrastructure to fall apart and not maintaining it. We must get busy. We have talked and debated enough. Time for action not words."
We appreciate your feedback and editorial topic suggestions.
