Shively shooting leaves man wounded

SHIVELY, KY (WAVE) – A man is being treated for a gunshot wounds after a shooting Tuesday night in Shively and police are searching for the person who shot him. 

Around 6:40 p.m., Shively police were called to the 3100 block of Altus Drive and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim, who police say is in his late 30's, was taken to University Hospital for treatment. His name and condition have not been released. 

Witnesses told police that a 1990s green Chevrolet Lumina with a black man inside left the scene shortly after the shooting. Police are searching for that vehicle. 

According to police, the suspect they are searching for is a black man in his early to mid 20's, described as being 5'8" and having a thin build. Police say the man wearing dark clothing, a dark blue hat and black mask. Although he was last seen on foot, police believe the suspect many have gotten into a mid 90's emerald green Chevrolet Lumina with dark tinted windows. The car may have been drive by someone else.
