#1 Trinity beats #4 St. X 41-6 in front of 30,500

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - #1 Trinity outscored arch rival St. X 27-0 in the second half Friday night on it's way to a 41-6 win in front of 30,500 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

Rocks junior James Quick did it all, catching 8 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns, plus he threw a touchdown pass.

The Tigers actually outgained Trinity offensively in the first half, but still trailed 14-6 at the break. Quarterback Alex Mattingly was their offensive star, rushing for 94 yards and a score and passing for 143.

Trinity quarterback Travis Wright completed 17 of his 23 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns. Daylen Dawkins rushed for 139 yards and two scores as Trinity improved to 6-0. St. X falls to 3-4.

Quick caught 34 and 20 yard touchdowns passes and threw a 36 yarder to Andrew Wall. Ryan White completed the scoring with a 65 punt return.

The Rocks host #2 Manual (6-0) next Friday night.
