LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - It's that time of year and Louisville is gearing up for a big clean-up. Thousands of volunteers will be heading out next week for Brightside's community wide cleanup.
Saturday, Brightside handed out supplies to pre-registered team leaders at Slugger Field.
Over the past 25 years, Brightside has removed 375,000 tons of trash from Louisville sidewalks, streets, and green spaces.
The clean-up is scheduled for Oct. 22nd. from 8:00 a.m. to noon, at hundreds of Louisville locations.
