You took exception to our editorial this week concerning the Ogle Animal Shelter with one viewer saying we were buying into a politically based smear campaign and another saying he visits the animal shelter many times a week and it is running just fine.
Regarding our editorial last month on Leaving Children Behind, Dan emailed "America is falling way behind the world in education and Kentucky is worst. Sales clerks cannot even figure the change due to customers without the cash register. It is time for parents to take the bull by the horns and start spending time with kids checking their homework."
John asked about Hardin County test score results. For high school, nearly three of every four students were proficient in reading but less than half were proficient in math, science, social studies and writing on demand. Those numbers were slightly better in Hardin County middle schools and much better in Hardin County elementary schools.
