LOUISVILLE (WAVE) - A member of the UK basketball team was hurt in a car accident.
Lexington Police say UK sophomore guard Stacey Poole, Jr. was a passenger, when a drunk driver crossed the center line, hit the car he was riding in, and pushed it into a parked car.
This was on East High Street near Euclid, near the University of Kentucky around 2:30AM.
Poole was taken to UK Hospital, with what police say are non-life threatening injuries.
Officers have not released the name of the alleged drunk driver.
The crash comes as the team has its tips-off its first regular season at 7PM tonight against Marist at Rupp Arena.
