AN APP FOR EVERYTHING (WAVE) - The holiday season is almost upon us. First up, in just a few weeks is Thanksgiving, a time for feasts, fun, and for many frustration as they cope with preparing what is often the most elaborate meal of the year. Turns out, there's an app for that! In fact there are several that can help streamline the planning process for turkey day.
The Chow Thanksgiving Dinner Coach is a great free app for the iPhone that will let you really take the stress out of planning, shopping and preparing your Thanksgiving meal. It Provides recipes, ingredients, and all the info that will allow even the first time turkey cooker to turn out a terrific meal for family and friends.
For Android users, try the $.99 Thanksgiving Planner app. It offers more than 160 Thanksgiving items like checklists and time deadlines, like when to send invitations, when to buy ingredients and when to start cooking.
There's a nifty $.99 app from Better Homes and Gardens for iPad users called Celebrate the Holidays. It's especially great for fall gatherings, Thanksgiving, and Christmas parties and dinners. There are instructions on how to decorate, cook, and do things like make your own from-scratch holiday pies.
And if you're looking for something to occupy your kids, try Cookie Doodle. It's a fun virtual bakery.
