Scott Reynolds' Cream Cheese Dip

Scott says, "This is a simple dip that everyone loves. You can increase or reduce the onion amount to your liking." Scott says his family has been eating this dish for more than fifty years!

  1. 1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
  2. 8 oz. whipping cream
  3. 2 tsp. finely grated onion (It should be mostly juice and pulp. You don't want hunks of onion.)

  1. Beat all ingredients together. Start on low, then go to high.
  2. Serve with ripple potato chips and pretzels.

Scott recommends covering the bowl with a sheet of wax paper and pushing the beaters through it before turning on the mixer. This will keep the whipping cream from splashing out of the bowl before the mixture starts to get stiff. He says you can wrap a towel around the bowl instead, but the wax paper method works better.
