Shelby Bockting and Mikey Monroe (source: Spencer Co. High School)
SPENCER COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police have released the names of two teenage girls killed in a rollover accident Wednesday afternoon.
Shelby Bockting, 17, and Mikey Monroe, 16, died at the scene after a pickup truck they were in overturned on Mike Brown Road. Both girls were juniors at Spencer County High School.
Another person in the vehicle, Jenna Rigsby, 16, is expected to recover. Rigsby was airlifted to Louisville's Kosair Children's Hospital and released. She is also a junior at Spencer County High.
Troopers said Bockting and Monroe were not wearing seat belts.
The accident happened shortly after school dismissed on Wednesday.

funeral home said visitation arragements for Shelby Bockting and Mikie Monroe will be held Friday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon until 8 p.m.
A service will also be held at Spencer County High School on Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
