Hanover College on alert after alleged campus attack

MADISON, IN (WAVE) - We have a warning to pass along for those on or near the Hanover College campus in Jefferson County, Indiana.

According to an email sent out to students and faculty, campus security and Hanover police are investigating a report of an alleged campus attack Sunday night around the academic computing center.

Investigators say the suspect was an older white man, about six feet tall, with an unshaven face and was seen driving a dark colored car.

Police searched and say they do not believe the man is still on campus.

This is the second crime at or near Hanover recently. On January 29, a student was jogging just off campus and reported being assaulted.

No arrests have been made in either case.
