Body found on New Cut Road at Snyder

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police are conducting a death investigation after the body of a woman was found on New Cut Road Tuesday morning.

According to MetroSafe dispatch, the report of the body in the roadway was received at 5:29 a.m. Officers found the woman on New Cut under the Gene Snyder Freeway.

LMPD homicide detectives were called to the scene to conduct the investigation. At this time, police have not said if foul play was involved.

New Cut Road has been reopened to traffic.
