KY Coalition Education Reform

There's been a lot of discussion lately about public charter schools. And there should be. Kentucky is one of only 9 states still prohibiting this innovative form of education.

While Kentucky waits, Charter schools in Indianapolis and Nashville are making dramatic improvements to the futures of thousands of children, especially in the inner city. That's why your support is needed to help pass public charter school legislation in Kentucky.

A public charter school is a public school; it is tuition free and it's open to every child.  Public charters are centers for innovation, and hold its administrators, teachers, students and even its parents to a higher standard.

It's time we give parents the opportunity to choose the school that best fits their child's needs, and public charter schools do just that.

On Tuesday, February 14th - Public Charter Schools will seek the support of the House Education Committee in Frankfort.

If you believe our children deserve a new educational option and parents deserve a choice, attend the February 14th meeting in Frankfort or call your State Representative at 1-800-372-7181 and tell them to support public charter schools for Kentucky's children.
