Man facing a murder charge from a deadly DUI accident faces a judge

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man charged in a deadly DUI crash was in court Friday morning to face a murder charge.

Police say Robert Kempf was speeding on I-71 when he lost control of his car near the Watterson Expressway and flipped several times.

His passenger, Michael Carr, died at the scene.

Kempf entered a not guilty plea in court and his bond was set at $250,000.
