LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The National Farm Machinery Show and Championship Tractor Pull is back and better than ever. This is the largest indoor farm show in the United States. More than 300,000 people are expected to attend and that means a big boost for the local economy.

"In terms of agriculture, agribusiness, anything from seed to crop, it is right here," said Amanda Storment of the Kentucky State Fair Board.

The National Farm Machinery Show is owned and produced by the Kentucky State Fair Board.

People from all over make their way to Louisville each year for this event. "I think if you walk around the parking lot, you will see that every license plate is here," said Storment.

And that includes farmers of all ages. "I'm excited about all the tractors and stuff, hope I could drive one day," said 9-year-old Josh Corriher.

Josh and his father, David, traveled from North Carolina. "I really do hope to follow in my Dad's footsteps," said Josh.

His dad is amazed to see just how the industry has evolved. "That's the amazing part to see what it was 30 years ago or 40 years ago to now, or even ten years ago," said David Corriher.
"The advances it has made in 10 years time is just unreal."

While these guys take in all the sights, Louisville brings in the profit. "This is a show that is a tremendous four day show, plus it is the largest economic impact of any convention that comes to this city," said Storment. "$21.5 million over four days is what this show brings to this community."

The show continues through Saturday with free admission all day. If you are interested in the tractor pull, tickets range from $35-$45.
