Shooting investigation in New Albany

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - Police are investigating a shooting in New Albany that has sent a man to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his leg.

New Albany police were called to the area near Clark Street and Chartres around 5:30 Thursday evening. When officers arrived they found evidence of a shooting, but no body.

According to police, a person transported the victim to Floyd Memorial Hospital.

Police are looking for a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the New Albany tip line at 948-TIPS.
