Man arrested in double murder at Louisville playground

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police have arrested a 29-year-old man in the murders of two people at a Sheppard Square playground last summer.

Samuel 'Dirt' Daniels was taken into custody just after 9 p.m. Thursday at an apartment on 44th Street.

Metro police have suspected him in the murders of Mechall Acuff and Joshua Jenefor.

Daniels is being held in Metro Corrections on two counts of murder, two counts of robbery in the 1st degree and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
